Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 September 2026

This is a working draft pending legal review. It describes how the platform currently handles your information, but the wording has not yet been checked by a qualified adviser.

1. Who we are

EPZ Global operates this recruitment platform, connecting candidates with employers across Africa and beyond. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to candidates, employer users, and visitors to the site.

We are the data controller for the information described here. For anything in this policy, contact us at support@performsoft.africa.

2. Information we collect

When you create a candidate account or join our talent pool, we collect:

  • Identity and contact details — your name, email address, phone numbers, and postal address including city, state, country and postal code.
  • Demographic details — gender, date of birth and nationality, where you provide them.
  • Professional history — your work experience, education, qualifications, skills, languages and proficiency levels, and your salary and work-preference expectations.
  • Documents you upload — CVs, certificates and supporting files. We extract the text from these so they can be searched and matched, and we scan them for viruses.
  • Assessment results — where you take a psychometric or skills assessment through the platform.
  • Account and activity records — sign-in events and actions taken on your account, which we log for security and audit purposes.

Employer users additionally provide company details and, where applicable, billing information. Card and mobile-money payment details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by us.

3. Automated processing and AI matching

We use automated systems to match candidates to roles. Your profile information and the text extracted from your CV are sent to Anthropic, an artificial-intelligence provider, which processes them on our behalf to score how well your experience fits a given vacancy. This produces a ranking and an explanation that recruiters can see.

These scores assist human recruiters; they do not by themselves decide whether you are hired. If you would like a matching decision explained or reviewed by a person, contact us at the address above.

4. How we use your information

  • To create and administer your account.
  • To present your profile to employers whose roles you apply for, or whose requirements you match.
  • To match you to relevant vacancies and notify you about them.
  • To let employers manage their pipeline, shortlists and assessments.
  • To send service messages such as password resets, application updates and, where you have opted in, job alerts.
  • To keep the platform secure, investigate misuse, and meet our legal obligations.

5. Who we share it with

  • Employers on the platform — when you apply for a role, or where you are in an employer’s candidate pool, that employer’s authorised users can view your profile, documents and assessment results.
  • Service providers — our hosting, file storage, email delivery, payment and AI-matching providers, who process data on our instructions only.
  • Authorities — where we are required to disclose information by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers, including our AI-matching provider, process data outside Zimbabwe. Where information is transferred abroad, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to a comparable standard.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your profile for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile and documents, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, accounting or dispute-resolution obligations. Talent-pool profiles are reviewed periodically and removed when no longer relevant.

8. Your rights

Subject to Zimbabwe’s data protection law, you may ask us to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete — most of this you can edit yourself in your profile.
  • Delete your account and the information associated with it.
  • Withdraw your consent to being contacted or being included in our talent pool.
  • Object to, or ask for human review of, automated matching.

To exercise any of these, email support@performsoft.africa. You also have the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.

9. Security

Passwords are stored using a one-way hash and are never visible to us or to employers. Uploaded files are scanned for viruses and stored in access-controlled storage. Account activity is logged. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and we will tell you about significant changes through the platform or by email.

11. Contact

Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to support@performsoft.africa. See also our Terms of Service.
